Easy to handle, although I just started using the instrument and I have the impression I can do more with it. We are using it to count simple bacterial cells which we need to do in order to start antibacterial susceptibility assays. The drugs which we test against diverse bacterial cells are membrane active. Therefore, total as well as live/dead assays provide additional information for us. If there was a future upgrade for this instrument, I would definitely think about including optical filters for different wavelengths covering a broader fluorescence range. Then we could play with difference membrane permeable/impermeable dyes.
